Charles Osgood celebrates 150th anniversary of Central Pa nursing home

HARRISBURG, Pa — 

A special guest and CBS News notable helped mark a major milestone for a Central Pennsylvania nursing home that dates back to the Civil War.

The Homeland Center held it's 150th anniversary gala at the Hilton Harrisburg and former CBS News Sunday Morning anchor Charles Osgood was on hand to celebrate.

"From the very beginning it began as a home for the friendless, they needed someone to look after their interests. I think unless there are more places like this in America it has a structure to take care of people."

Donors and supporters of the Homeland Center were there to participate in the festivities.
