Report: Green Bay Packers release Jared Abbrederis

Jared Abbrederis is no longer a member of the Green Bay Packers.

According to Tim Silverstein of the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel, the Packers have negotiated an injury settlement with Abbrederis and he will be put on waivers. This comes on the heels of him being placed on injured reserve this week after suffering a thigh contusion last week.

The Packers travel to Atlanta on Sunday to face the Falcons. Make sure you're in the loop – take five seconds to Sign up for our FREE Packers newsletter now!

Abbrederis was drafted by the Packers in the fifth round in 2014. He did not play in 2014 because he was placed on injured reserve before the season began. In 2015, Abbrederis played in 10 games and caught nine passes for 111 yards.

This season, Abbrederis played in five games and caught one pass for eight yards.

In other roster news, the Packers cut CB Keith Baxter from the practice squad.
